On May 29, 2025, we participated in the HR Benefits Technology Festival 2025, organized by MercerMarsh Benefits at the Ascott Hotel in Bonifacio Global City, Taguig City. Our team was represented by Compensation and Benefits Admin Officer Loraine Roselle D. Viray and Recruitment and Benefits Associate Shannon Grail N. Balaglag.

Shannon emphasized the strategic importance of staying current: "As part of a fast-paced industry, we must be adaptable with technology and stay informed about the latest advancements so we can implement new strategies, improve efficiency, and be future ready."

Loraine reflected on AI's role: "AI is a powerful tool that can help us be better and faster in our work. However, it is really important to always remember that, as people, we are the true process owners and AI is simply there to help us achieve our goals more efficiently."
Shannon shared an equally powerful insight: "One of the speakers mentioned that technology should be used to enhance our skills, not limit them. A quote that stuck with me was, 'Meet the people where they are in life.' We must ensure that even if our process becomes technology driven, it remains human friendly."
While the HR Benefits Technology Festival focused on innovation and future possibilities, our commitment to excellence also requires staying grounded in current regulatory requirements. On June 30, 2025, our team participated in the GO UP FORUM: Government Updates from SSS, PHILHEALTH, DOLE, BIR, PAG-IBIG and ECC, hosted by PMAP at the PMAP Center in Mandaluyong City. The forum brought together industry experts and government officials to provide crucial updates on employment, compensation, and employee benefits regulations.
For Loraine, this event proved particularly valuable given her daily interactions with employees regarding their benefits. "This event provided updates on our employees' government-mandated benefits. It helped me refresh my understanding and gain new knowledge about these government updates, which is essential since many employees have questions about these mandates."
Shannon echoed the significance of staying informed across all government agencies: "The Go Up Forum gives us new updates from different government agencies in the Philippines. Attending the forum ensures that we are knowledgeable about government laws and their benefits." This comprehensive knowledge directly supports Loraine's ability to provide accurate, confident responses to employee inquiries about their mandated benefits.
